The heat wave is coming.....it is now 28 degrees. I did attempt to get the mail by climbing the gate (it was frozzen), walking in snow past my knees and enjoying every minute of the long half hour there and back (what a work out).

And then there is Joe who is working very hard to make sure all of the animals are watered and fed.

And then it was 20 degrees and 17 inches of snow and ice!!!! I guess we won't be going out any time soon.

I haven't written so much , maybe there is not much to do in 20 degree weather!!!

Another picture of the big snow storm, winter 2008!!!

Yes, it has snowed and snowed and snowed here!!!! I love the snow, especially when I DO NOT have to go anywhere. Yes, I am off for the Christmas break and loving it. I have been able to stay at home, warm and knitting up a storm, yet today I had to get OUT!!!! I decided that it was time to make a snow man. It took two hours, but I loved every minute of it. And of course before I went inside I had to make a snow angel.

Stay warm and have a great Holiday!

I returned home
from Alaska to find the circle drive being put in. And then Joe and I almost killed ourselves the last two weekends getting the ground ready for planting and placing walls.

The weather has been cool so it has not been too bad, although neither one of us are as young as we used to be. Yard work is HARD WORK!!!!! Does anyone know anyone who want to come and help????? Actually, I think we may have found a young man to help. While we were buying plants today, the owners son, wants to earn money to go to soccor camp......he and Joe exchanged numbers. Now we just need to get the wood split and stacked, place down grass and put the gazabo up.....nothing put time and money will solve everything.

Last weekend was fast and exciting.....Alaska was amazing!!!! I visited Alaska as Tenth District Trustee. Site seeing in Alaska included eating a piece of ice from an glacier, going to the top a snow covered mountain in a gondola and walking in snow in my flip flops.

I have been busy ever since going to California for Mothers Day weekend.
Laura and I were able to go to Disneyland ALL by ourselves for the day.
Girls day out!!!!!

Timonthy James Hammer was born on Friday, April 11.
Rachel had a C-section and therefore will be in the hospital until at least Tuesday, however I think she would love to stay until Friday. Going home to three boys and not feeling very well can be scary.
Timmy is starting out being a good boy, who loves to cuddle. Great job, Racheal and Bob!!!!

My daughter is the greatest!

My daughter is the absolute greatest! I really don't know what I would do without her because she is so smart and so wonderful I just can't believe it!

Driving to Portland each day is such a grind; sometimes over an hour. However, living near the base of a mountain like Mt. St. Helens makes up for the long drive. Each day as I approach Battle Ground, I have an opportunity when the skies are clear, to view a beautiful and wondrous sight. If you have a free day during the early spring or summer, be sure and go the back way to the mountain. It's a longer drive, however I guarantee you will be pleased with the experience.
